2019 Harvest Collection - Lace Shawls

Exquisite lace shawls, 100% suri alpaca.

Available in two designs – ladder lace and lacy lace. The ladder lace has a vertical stripe design; the lacy lace is a more traditional lace pattern.

These shawls were designed and machine knit by New Era Fiber in Tennessee using our herd’s suri alpaca fiber. Both styles are approximately 24 inches wide and 72 inches long.

These lightweight 11.2 ounce shawls provide superior warmth and style without bulk. Both designs extend a lovely drape while maintaining the beautiful stitch definition.

Each piece has been hand dyed using plants and flowers (denoted in parenthesis) for a truly one-of-a-kind, heirloom garment.

These shawls look good dressed up for a night on the town, or dressed down with jeans for spring night on the farm. And I love taking one on road trips because it's the perfect lap warmer for the car!

Notes on the Collection
Probably the very best thing about these shawls is the collective manner in which it sprang to life.  It wouldn't have been possible without all the wonderful, reliable, small American businesses that worked alongside us each step of the way-

The herd enjoyed tasty, high-quality hay grown just down the road & around the corner from us by our neighboring farmers, AJ and Briana, along with their two boys Keegan and Parker.

During the season, we relied on the professional, compassionate practitioners at the Animal Clinic of Walla Walla anytime a member of the herd needed extra care.

Vitamins, minerals, feed and miscellaneous supplies are made available by locally owned shops like Bordertown Feed & Supply, NW Farm Supply and Cascade Farm & Outdoor.

Once shorn, our raw fiber was expertly milled and spun into a very fine lace weight yarn by New Era Fiber Mill in Tennessee, and then professionally machine knit by them as well.

It not only feels good across your shoulders and neck, but it also feels good in your heart. Your purchase is more than an investment in a high quality, natural wardrobe, it is an investment in small farms and American labor.
