Farm Yarn - sport weight
Just wait until you get your hands on this new batch of FARM YARN!
Our farm-grown suri alpaca plus merino for the ultimate in softness & versatility.
It’s a super squishy sport weight yarn.
Each skein is approximately 200 yards / 65 grams
60% OHA suri alpaca & 40% merino
Using 2 skeins, I made both of these hats - with the left over shown.
Pattern is the Guthrie Hat by Boyland Knitworks available for purchase on Ravelry
Colors used in sample are 1 skein Blue Indigo & 1 skein Orange Dark
Notes on color:
Each skein is hand dyed on the farm using heirloom dye plants.
I did my best to photograph & capture the unique colors provided by my natural dyeing process.
As a natural fiber with a natural color, this means there will be some variation in color between skeins.
If you’re planning a specific project, please be sure to get enough yarn now. What is listed is all that I have. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. As a natural product, next year’s yarn will likely be totally different in weight & color.
All natural color courtesy of this year’s dye garden including marigold, madder root, coreopsis, cosmos, weld, and indigo.
